Geisha
The Memoirs of a Geisha inspired me to learn a lot about Japan and its culture and this was one of the pieces that I created while enjoying the learning experience.

HMMMM… that’s the same font used in Memoirs of a Geisha, isn’t it! Haha, I loved that movie… this looks like it might be the poster for a spinoff of the movie… maybe in which they focus more on Sayuri’s years as a geisha, before the war had started. I love the faded/ burned image of the geisha in the background… and also the journal/ diary on the left side – it pretty much says “Memoirs of” right there! The soft/ warm color scheme makes everything look very inviting and Asian, too!
PS – you look like a badass pimp in your profile picture, Faizan! That photo’s a keeper, as is this one!
MinoYasue
Her facial feature, expression and warmth on her face are surely very much like Japan. Again, your use of gold adds elegance and class to your image. The composition is very well balanced, even if I do know what the books mean.
