The flow of the North Saskatchewan River originates at the Saskatchewan Glacier and the Columbia Icefield and ends it 2200 km journey in the Hudson Bay. The history of this river extends back 2 million years and over time, the water has cut and shaped the existing walls of the valley showing a virtual slice through the areas geological history.
