Prairie Icon - Stettler, Alberta by Roxanne Persson

Prairie Icon - Stettler, Alberta by

One of the few remaining wooden grain elevators in Alberta. I was in touch with Wanda from the Town of Stettler and she says that the elevator was built in 1968 and the one behind it was built in 1920, both UGG elevators. Apparently there is a P&H elevator on the other side of town…must go back some day for another look!

    this is fantastic Roxanne

  • We were on a little road trip this weekend…I begged dear hubby to drive slowly as we passed this beauty…unrolled the window and snap. You have to love it when shots like that turn out :)

Roxanne, this is a wonderful shot for Prairie Elevators of the Past
Please consider it for our group

  • I would like that very much and thank you so much for the kind invite!! I didn’t even know that such a group existed on RB, as I am learning more about the elevators since posting this, I am realizing just how scarce they are now.
