baroque rose III by

This beautiful rose is quite tiny compared with the usual traditional English rose. The little plant was hiding behind other very pompous rose plants at my local garden centre. Irresistable to me. It is now sitting outside in an orchid pot (transparent plastic – sold as such!) producing a series of “wrapped” blooms that never actually fall apart, but retain most of their colour for at least a week then fade away into gold followed by dove grey edged with pink while drying on the stem.
