I love My Life
I wrote this autumn 2007, when the leaves had fallen, skies were slate gray for days, and there was a constant drizzle. Id finished a painting by the same name and this was to accompany the image. Thinking about life and whats really important for me restores balance when nagging concerns and daily stress is getting the better of me.

My life is:
An ancient dance,
A sky vaulted circle of stone
The full autumn moon
Thunderstorms rising
Embers glowing deep into the night
Hazelnut, hawthorn, birch and alder
The spicy scent of green walnuts hanging heavy from the bough
Newly fallen acorns loose in the palm
Wild grapes, their purple tartness wasp and butterfly sipped
Freshly sprouted mushrooms, earthy and moist amidst newly fallen leaves
Finely wrought gold
The patina of old silver, luminous and cool as the winter moon
Bronze spirals
Exquisite poetry
Melancholy song
The heritage of my Celtic race
Magical
Mythical
Interconnected
