Rhiannon's Passion
Watercolor on Board
We form a living bridge of time, connecting the previous century with the upcoming on, and are becoming the elders. Leave on this century’s shore any tattered, faded clothing sewn of worn out cares and sadness’, brittle anger, and festering resentment. Drape yourself in a flowing garment of new life, all gossamer dreams and flowing, tranquil thoughts. The stuff of star and comet exists at the center of every cell in your body. The blood flowing through your veins is remarkably similar to ocean water. We are spiritual beings who have forgotten our origins. Reclaim your birthright.

Im honored you like her. As you can see here, the late 60’s psychedelic art had an influence on my development -those were the years of fantastic album covers. I used to stare into them, tyring to figure out how they’d been painted, while listening to the music.

Yes – definitely has a “psychedelic” feel but so much more than that… I see a definite Art Noveau influence as well, but your work is quite uniquely your own and transcends any genre limitations
You are just damn good… period!

There are times, dreams, when we all feel like this. I do like Mucha, but think the sense of movement comes from my love of ukiyo-e and its handling of drapery and textiles. When very young I’d repeatedly trace the works of Kiyonaga,Utamaro and Eishi, trying to perfect the drawing enough to hang in my room. Later I read Impressionist and Art Noveau painters were inspired by Ukioy -e and experimented with incorporating aspects of this same handling and pattern into their art.

I like the breath flowing from here and blending right into the background. The pattern, the leaves, the colours, the subject matter itself is superb.

This caught my eye immediately. I am sure you will sell many prints of it, it’s a beautiful piece, well composed and professionally executed. I love the subject matter too. Perhaps inspire by the Stevie Nicks song?
I don’t know how to “fave” yet, but I will as soon as I do.

She is lovely. There is such a powerful balance between the movement in this work and the quite still ness that raidates from her.
