a free verse poem that i did
i was under alot of pressure from my school and parents
and i was really frustrated
so i got out some paper and started writing
You say teenagers lives are easier now—
a year ago two of my friends tried to kill themselves
You say my music is evil and satanic—
three years ago famous rock stars held a benifit for aids
You say children are the reason families fight—
for 6 days my friend had to stay home because her father beat her
You say boys should wear their hair short and be proud—
four months ago twenty boys shaved their heads and bowed to hitler
You says parents always listen to their children—
2 years ago a friend of mine broke into a house so her parents would notice she exsisted
You say we dont understand the realization of death—
in the last 2 years, three of my best friends have died
You say teenagers have no goals—
a week ago a freind of mine applied for a $10,000 scholorship
You say my generation is sending this world to hell—
Actually, we’re just trying to escape it
