The day we were there someone had taken all the heritage trust pamphlets, so we did not get as much info as we would have liked. It was probably built between 2500 and 2000 BC. The size of the ring of Brogda (104 metres diameter) is such that the stones seem little until you approach one (up to 4.7 Metres high). At the same time because it is on a slope to the brow of the hill it is almost impossible to get a good view of it all. There are now only 27 remaining stones of the estimated 60 which would have been the perfect circle.
