Lightly more to the East in Collins street than the previous photo. Sometime I came to Collins Street from the train, and immediately caught a tram. Other mornings I had to wait for a tram to come, and I would then walk along Collins Street to the East. We did not have any correlation between time-tables for trains and trams. This morning you can see a tram going the wrong way for me, and a couple of cars around. The traffic is so different in 2009 at any time of the day.

Spend most of my time with images of yesterday (or before), but enjoy use of the Pentax K3 when possible.

Kodachrome had a tremendous brightness range, which for me digital is only now starting look like equalling, but it still has not the subtelties of tone

What a lovely collection of pics from fifty or so years ago. I hope to pass on a fine collection of images to my kids or grandkids myself.

I agree with you about the digital and film. If I want images that are top quality I still shoot on film. Also in high contrast scenes like this digital is next to useless. No range.

The ASA 8 rating made me smile. A steady hand or a lot light needed using film of that speed.

    All the best from Andrew.

Ps I especially like the images because I live in the Melbourne CBD
