2009 Bright oval after the lights came on

As the evening wore on they turned on the football lights. For kids it was exciting, and they announced that noone was to be allowed past across a fence through the middle of the football oval which marked where they hoped the fireworks would not come past. It was patrolled by Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteers on orange jackets to provide any needed keeping out.
