Collins street Melbourne in Evening 1957
This is again Kodachrome 8 ASA film. On some occasions, film processed in Australia showed a degree of ‘Reticulation’ in the highlight areas of the image. Digital freaks would see this as complete tragedy, but you have to enlarge this image to see the effect in the shiny footpath. It has never bothered me as I saw it as the film equivalent of surface cracking with time of a painted image. It seldom determined whether the picture was good or not. Enjoy the image. This was about 5.30 pm on a workday, not a weekend. Shops had only just shut.
