Ishidoro by Matthew Tauzer

Ishidoro by

One of the famed ishidoro (stone lanterns) located in the Portland Japanese Gardens, Portland, OR.

This was a special evening event for those with photography passes where the various lanterns throughout the gardens were lit and the gardens themselves were open until 9 pm, after sunset.

The place has a very different feel past dark. It’s still as tranquil, but the atmosphere feels more magical with the lanterns lit and located throughout the forest and along the Strolling Pond.
