Heaven's New Hell

Heaven's New Hell

From the San Juan Islands while whale watching for Orcas. This was taken with a crappy camera so the Quality isn’t the best but it is still high enough to be enjoyable :)
Red-Orange colors are edited.. or practically fake Cokin ;P.

Heaven's New Hell belongs to the following groups:

Both Sides Now, Pacific Northwest and Western United States Artists and Photographers Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Beautiful. There is a new group called, “Both Sides Now.” This would be wonderful in that group.

This is excellent! I bet if you had an expensive camera, It wouldn’t have come out as nicely as this. The poor lens softens and distorts the image in a surreal way to make it look extra dramatic.

  • failingjune replied

Well I do have a nice camera I just didn’t bring it on my trip with me :) Thank you :)

LOL, you seemed a little testy for a grammatical error.
I was thinking, “What’s up with that?”
no problemo, but you may get some crappy camera jokes now. lol

  • failingjune replied

I’ll be looking forward to them lol :)

Stunning photo Matt, did you really tweak the orange/red colours? Well either way it’s wonderful :)

  • failingjune replied

Thank you Helen! I said up there in the description that I did indeed tweak the colors a bit. Just the red-ish colors :) It looked fairly bland with just the yellow clouds and I didn’t have a Cokin with me at the time. Hope you don’t mind :)

LOL was asking cause I have seen some well cool sky’s that are natural, but very red. Just wish I had a digital camera back then though cause all the pictures I took are negatives and photos. Don’t think the quality will be there if I scan them, which is a shame.

  • failingjune replied

No problem :) You could always try scanning them, What’s the loss :)?
