No More Vacation
Just finished tonight, marking the end of my painting hiatus. Yay…
Created this on a 12×16 flatboard canvas with acrylic paints. Used a combination of tools including a random assortment of paintbrushes, scissors, a dish sponge, orange netting, a spatula, a cat’s paw and my own hands. It took maybe 6 hours total to finish this, taking into account the long drying stages due to the thicker textures of the paint.
I really didn’t have any specific direction I wanted to take this piece, just winged it the whole way through. It doesn’t bother me if people don’t appreciate it, I know it’s an odd painting to say the least, but I enjoy it and it brings a smile to my face when I look at it.
