    I like the idea, but it seems unfinished.

    Just a few suggestions. If you want to leave a lot of brush strokes visible, then maybe use a more stylized brush with a little texture to give it a painting feel. And maybe move the design up on the shirt it self. Of course these are only suggestions. :)
