Red Rock, Arizona, USA There are two trails at Palatki Heritage Site, one trail that takes you to the view of the Sinagua cliff dwellings, and a second that goes to the alcoves that shelter the painted symbols, or pictographs from every native culture to ever occupy the Verde Valley. Palatki and it’s sister site, Honanki were the largest cliff dwellings of the Red Rock country between A.D.1150 – 1300. The pictographs and petroglyphs on the wall of the red cliffs date back to 6,000 years ago, thousands of years before the Sinaqua built the cliff dwelling. The rock art includes ancient pictorial writings left by numerous native prehistoric people that preceded the Sinaquas.
I pulled up the tones on this so the image would be seen easier. Some say it’s an alien or “ancient fathers”…..what do you think?
