'The Kiss' - A tribute to Klimt by

Acrylic on canvas – approx 100 X 70 mm

A reproduction I have made using a central portion of the original only.
I have long been an admirer of Klimt and like to think he would be pleased with my effort. Shortly after finishing this work, I was lucky enough to see the original in Vienna and was pleased to believe that my version compares favourably.

A fabulous interpretation …the hand placement is oh so tender

  • I must say, I have Klimt to thank for the ‘hand’, I merely tried to keep it close to the original. Thank you so much for your kind comment.

I have no doubt that your version does compare favorably with the original Klimt. Very skillfully done reproduction work. Just beautiful. I love Klimt, too, and my art is influenced my him as well. Honored to be on the home page with you. Congratulations!

sorry, i just don’t get how a replica of a famous work (and that work already has an author) can get to the front page. I think this is an insult to an idea of author and original work..
