While taking some pictures down in Newport Beach, CA, I came across these tide pools. While I was exploring, I saw some waves crashing on the rocks with such force that the water would run over the rocks and down into a deeper tide pool, which would empty out each time the tide went back out to sea. It reminded me of a waterfall, so I set up my tripod to try and get a shot.

Single exposure image taken with a Nikon D90 and 18-105mm lens with a circular polarizer @ f/22, 2.5 seconds, ISO 100.

    looks like a beautiful spot

  • Thank you, Tania. It certainly was, the rocks went on as far as the eye could see. I could have spent all day there.
