A moment of light.

A moment of light.

There is a moment between life and death, that moment is a spark of light. This moment made me understand that. I was alone in a desert, with ten litres of water and the trust in another person who promised to pick me up. At that moment anything was possible.

All your work is outstanding – you’ve got an amazing portfolio to which I could never compete, lol! But I do like this tree and I know I can photograph trees in my own local spot! It must be wonderful to be able to travel and see the world the way you do and capture it through the lens?
    Well done, kind regards, Sylvia!

Thank you Silvia… I did photograph the world, but I got burn out from just photographing seven days per week. Then I was on a ship that nearly sank in Antarctica. It was all a bit much so I came back to England. The last four years have been pretty difficult for me. For two of the years I gave up on photography all together. It was only two years ago I started again… In the mean time I have been working in a bank doing really mundane work… When I say mundane I mean past mundane. Then this week I was told that I was a Highly commended in the travel photography awards and am a finalist in photo laureates. So as ideal as my life may appear through photography- the truth is far removed… I now intend to return to what I was doing… So here’s to that hope.

I am so pleased for you and lots of congratulations! Knowing how easy it is to wear yourself out you have to read your body and listen to it when you go back to what you do so amazingly well, and I wish you all the success in it with all the health and enjoyment of seeing so many wonderful things while you are working. Best regards, also let us know how you go on? :-)

Oh Sylvia you are soooooo lovely, that is sooooo sweet. You don’t know how nice it is to be supported by so many lovely people. I will let you know how I get on… I will keep my journals up to date… Plus I will obviously keep the bubble floating… Thank you again Sylvia.

Thank you so much Adgray. I am glad that an image can inspire you that way… That is what I want from my work.
