Born and raised in South Africa, the African Bush became an integral part of my being at an early age, and I began expressing this using a very basic camera. I have since graduated to the digital world with Sony Alpha SLR technology and lenses.
I now live in the USA and since moving here in 1977 have lived in Toronto, Boston, San Francisco, Rochester NY and now Manhattan. I have been in private practice (Toronto), academic ophthalmology (San Francisco) and then in the corporate world as Chief Medical Officer of a major eye care company (Rochester NY) and I am currently Chief Scientific Officer of a startup company in ophthalmology. I am fortunate enough to have been able to visit my family and the game parks in South Africa on a regular basis to indulge in my passion of being amongst the wildlife in the African Bush.
