Very well spotted! They even have the same bag!!

  • Eyal Nahmias replied

The truth is that the front woman jacket has an embroidery along the sleeves and front that matches almost exactly the handbag of the right woman

funny how they are similar but hate each other… great photo!

  • Eyal Nahmias replied

They are similar yet different, I don’t know about hate, at-least many in Israel want to live peacefully with each other, and as in any country with different religions, groups and ethnicities, there are tensions, violence and heated incidents, for me it is a very peaceful image. Thanks for the complement and comment, much appreciated.

There is so much contrast between these women Eyal and I could spend hours just studying this! Lovely capture of one moment in time!

Thanks Sylvia. I agree it is an image with contrasts yet it contain many elements that are shared, even for a fleeting moment. I’m glad you like this image and I really appreciate your continuous support and thoughtful comments.

I love the fact that this photo tells a story, a story of diverse peoples, politically and religiously at odds with each other, yet who, in reality, share so many likenesses. Their common “stripe” is their brotherhood/sisterhood in the human race. Speaks volumes!

  • Eyal Nahmias replied

Thanks so much Bonnie. I really enjoyed reading your interpretation to the image and how it relates to the diversity of people in Israel. Very insightful and positive.

I like this image, it laves the interpretation up to the viewer. On one hand it seems to illustrate 2 different cultures to living their own traditions side by side in harmony. It could also symbolize radically opposed life views and never seeing eye to eye. Nice work.

  • Eyal Nahmias replied

Thank you Helena, This is the way I tend to see this image, thou I tend more to be an optimist, I see it as people live side by side. It is open to subjective views and how people are conditioned to see a situation and interpret it according to their own beliefs and experiences.
