First footsteps on first snow!

First footsteps on first snow!

again, this was taken from my, 11 floors, of first snow! And, i love how the 2 trails of footsteps are going different ways! Isnt it cute?!! So many parallel and perpendicular things in this shot… The best compo i could achieve. The street outside my house isnt too exciting, and that is why.

Its really cool how much the footprints stand out from the snow. Looks almost like they were drawn in.

  • Explosive replied

Yup, because the layer of snow is so thin! I find the ones on the right are a bit odd shape.

I have had some of my best photos from pointing the camera out the window or door!
This is a nice domestic scene, of the ordinary world in snow.

  • Explosive replied

Also, very convinient, isnt it! Dont have to go far :)
    Thank you, Colin!

I think it’s a very cinematic image. Wonderful shot!

  • Explosive replied

Hmmm…now that you said it, i see it too. Something cinematic about it is definitely there. Maybe from a detective or documentary. Suspense….almost expect some action to happen here.
    Well spotted! Thank you :)

absolutely love this, the mixed colour temperatures, the grains, the scratched, the softness in the snow, the single foot print trail. Well captured, and only from your window?

  • Explosive replied

Yup, just out of my window! :)
    Glad you like it, Opium!

I think it’s the warm glow from the building across the street that brings a warmth to a very cold situation. Nicely done.

  • Explosive replied

I agree about the glow. :)
