We had planned well in advance on a day out in the Yorkshire Dales to take mono images but when the day arrived it was a cold, crisp February day with barely a cloud in the sky and hard, bright light that was almost too stark.
As the day wore on it seemed it would get no better until I saw this scene from the road as the light glanced across this undulating hillside near Sedbusk – looking South West towards Hawes and Sleddale Pasture, across the valley of the River Ure.
