when I was young, it was easy to describe myself and sound interesting, fun, smart and adventurous. As I’ve aged, I’ve become more cynical…about people, politics, work, the media and myself. The things I like best now are those things that are different, that I have never tried or seen before. “Firsts” are more notable now because they are fewer and far between. Last week I saw my first Indigo Blue Bunting at my own bird feeder; I’m still waiting for my first Blue Bird. If I’m lucky, I’ll be able to get a picture.
