What kind of trees are these?

wow, so cool, a tree with blue blooms… this is definitely not the US!

..you can almost hear the cicadas!!! my little niece used to call these ‘Jack Miranda’ trees…LOL…hence always now referred to as jack mirandas in our family!!! and they are spectacular atm around Sydney too aren’t they? Lovely shot Evita ♥

This is an absolute beauty Evita and you have photographed it so very well. In the days before digital this colour was almost impossible to get right on film! We have had one in our front garden for several years and it is coming into flower again right now. Lovely trees but rather messy! Take care, Peter

heheheh, thanks Evita, not sure that comp is worth the money to fix…no money to anyway…
have done landscaping design/installation/maintenance for 25yrs…most plants called blue are actually really some version of purple (‘blue’ salvia, etc…)...it’s all relative…much better color on this box, much more purple! wish we could grow these around here…Cheers!

These are lovely grouped together like this. We have similar streets in Los Angeles where the weather is very similar to Australian weather and I love to see the blooms, even the “litter” under the trees is lovely!
