I spent a while beside the lake, looking at the smaller picture, before I lifted my head and looked in the direction I would later travel. The hills were calling my name…

Lake in Patterdale,NW England

I am a seeker. But you shouldn’t read to much into that.We all seek something. If you think I look familiar, you may be right.

the air of stillness about this picture makes me want to stay and rest. there is everything in pairs. two mountains, two houses two meadows. the mirror effect is broken by the two rocks in the water, one big the other small, their connection intersected by the two dark bushels of grass, one big the other small….
only at the lower left corner, the lighter bushel and the patch of lake ground lead the viewer down to earth again. without these, it would have been too eery to be real.

  • You have an amazing way of seeing things and describing them…I am happy that you read so much into this.

I expect they weren’t calling you ‘Evil Twin’; from the look of them, these hills are more far-seeing than that. Magnificent image, ET.

  • Thanks most humbly friend Whiz
