Thanks Paul :) I wish I could take all the credit, but it’s actually my version of a painting by John Vettriano. Oh and ‘parapluie’ is french for umbrella – it’s one of the first words I learnt when living in France!

I have just been looking at the original to compare and it struck me that while Vettriano’s characters look posed, yours really do seem to be reacting to the bitter cold rain. Well done!

Thx wutz4tea (great name!), I really tried to give the impression of the wind carrying the umbrellas away. I have alot of experience in this area – living on the west coast of Ireland (birr!!)
