This photo is 23-minute fisheye exposure looking directly at the rebel north star, which unlike it’s celestial comrades, refuses to testify to the Earth’s rotation.
On the evening of 8/25/2008, I drove to the booming metropolis of Gilead, Indiana to meet a Flickr friend I made several months ago, Michael Sarver. He and his wife are good people.
We had an awesome conversation about everything from Photography to Christianity and back, then stood out in the yard for a good hour shooting photos of the stunning night sky.

I love this exposure. the light coming from the horizon works nicely to give the earth a larger “darker” self essence. fantastic
