Photography has been my hobby – my passion for over 35 years – 35mm, medium format, and even 4×5. I had my own darkroom capable of printing all of the above in B&W, from Color Neg, and Color Transparency. While I have done digital photography for sometime, I bought my first DSLR about 2 years ago – a Canon 20D. I now use a Canon 40D with Canon lenses – EF 24 – 70mm 2.8L, EF 70-200mm IS 2.8L, EF 180mm f3.5L , EF-S 10 – 22mm f3.5-4.5, 1.4X and 2X Extenders, and a variety of Singh-Ray filters.

I take mainly Landscapes, Waterscapes, Nature, and Macro Photographs in both B&W and Color – all digital now. I use a variety of tools – always a polarizer and sometimes a variety of graduated neutral density filters (SinghRay) or HDR software (Photomatrix) to improve tonal range of my digital images. I shoot all my images in RAW format and use Lightroom and PS Elements for just basic editing.

I love to travel for the sake of taking photographs. Some of my favorite places are Maine, Nova Scotia, Desert Southwest, Pacific Northwest, California, Alaska, Hawaii. I have never traveled out of the US or Canada but hope to visit Ireland and Scotland sometime soon.
