Dragon Elements II

A lot has happened in the last two years.

After leaving the palace, Quinley took us to the Water Fall.
“There’s a tunnel, behind it,” Quinley explained “We’ll go through and I can magic up some land for us to live on.”
“Right and…” I trail off
“Princess, your training will follow.” Alex reassured me. Then, I caught on.
“Is that why we’ve left the palace? So I can learn to be an Elemental Master!?”
Quinley shot me a furious look
“Young lady, you will not be the Elements master. They will be your masters.”
“Hush uncle!” Cara hissed.

Anyway, that was two years ago. Now I can ride a horse (badly), I wear metal and I can control (Quinley says they control me but…) three Elements: Earth, Air and Water. Fire’s the hardest. For fire you need a dragon, it’s like how you need a horse for Earth I suppose…
“They aren’t called dragons.” Quinley insisted at dinner, draining a tankard of ale.
“They wouldn’t be would they” I muttered sarcastically. Me and Quinley do get on, just not all the time.
“They’re called drago. They’re very powerful. One wing beat and you’ll be gone!” Quinley continued, ignoring my remark.
“Es can survive uncle,” Alex looked at me “for all the years I’ve known her, she’s neverlet anything beat her.”
“Yes and that stubbornness can get her into trouble.” Cara smiled in my direction. Nowadays I and Cara are more like friends than mistress and maid. Quinley grunted, bringing me back to planet Earth.
“You can take her up tomorrow Alex, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

The next day me and Alex trotted up to the mountain ridge. I’ve never been much good with riding. The fifth time I fall off, Alex laughed and asked how I’m supposed to be an Elemental Master if I can’t even stay on my horse.
“Good luck with a dragon.”

When we reach the ridge, my breath is taken away. Everyone talks about dragons and I can see why. They are so majestic! I see a ruby red on and an azure blue.
“Go on then.” I can feel the fear in Alex. I roll my eyes.

I step out into the clearing. All the drago’s turn their heads and face me. An enormous dark green one plods up to me. I drop a curtsey (which is very hard in pants!). The drago looks at me, interested.
how come a she-child is dressed in the clothes of a he-child? the drago questioned me with telepathy. I guess my disguse isn’t so good anymore.
“It keeps me safe from my step-mother.” I explain
She is a Convoy for the Elements The ruby red drago came up behind the green one. Green looks severely at me.
Come with me Green turned around, and I followed.

There, in the centre of all the drago’s, there’s a dark red female (or she-drago).
A princess for a princess Green hurred. Does that mean he’s the King or something?
D. Red came up to me.
I am Desiree she tolds me
“And I Esmeralda.” I stroked her head
climb on my back, in between the wings I did as she told me. Desiree took off at lighting speed. I saw Alex watching, laughing. We soared over mountains and rivers.
I may not be able to ride. But I was definitely born to fly.
