I love magnolias. They seem so pure and unflecked. For some reason it invokes a sence of peacefulness when I see a magnolia tree in full bloom.
I wanted to add words to the image and found a beautiful poem called “Silence II” by Elaine Maria Upton on a website called www.judithporton.tripod.com (/poetry/elaine_maria_upton_silence.html) and used one of the verses on the background of the image.
Another source of inspiration is Asian art, where sometimes the background is golden.
This may not be your every day, conventional card but I could imagine giving it to someone special, who is perhaps finding it difficult to find a bit of silence or inner peace in their lives.
