I was born in Quito, 4 October. From childhood until now I’ve spent doodling, playing with images, words, shapes and colors.
I have illustrated many books for publishers in my country, Norma, Santillana, and Trama. I am also the author of three picture books, Porque existes tú (Alfaguara) When the green cats sing (Trama), Enriqueta (Alfaguara).
I was awarded the First Prize in Guevara Darío illustration of the Municipality of Quito in 2000, 2001, 2006 and 2007.
I won third place in the International Competition of Illustration-Unesco Noma, Japan 2003 with my book When the green cats sing.
I am illustrator representative of Ecuador to the list of honor Ibby (International Board on Books for Young People) in the periods 2006-2007 and 2007-2008.
And most importantly I have my prize, my daughter Clara Luz.
