Born an raised in The Netherlands but living in South Africa for the last 25 years or so.
I love plants, flowers and wildlife in general, and enjoy looking at interesting textures, shapes or colors no matter how small or insignificant they might be.
I have a special interest in African Succulent plants of which
I maintain a sizeble collection.
My social skills are rather poor and I am quite shy, I therefore work mostly with objects who don’t talk back, so not many portraits among my stuff I am afraid !

I have always owned a camera but only since buyig my first DSRL in January last year, am I taking photography more seriously, and I am certainly having lots of fun with it.
No fancy equipment here, a Canon 450D with kit lens, a 65mm as well as a 100mm. macro lens, plus an occasional 75-300mm. f5.6zoom lens will have to do for now.

Take a look ang give me some feedback if you have the time.
I want to learn more so any hints, tips or advice would be much appreciated !

Update: upgraded to a 7D recently and added a wide-angle lens and also purchased the Canon macro twin lite MT-24EX which I love !
