My brain said salmonella :)))Are they cigarette butts? Poor fish… what we do to creatures that have no say in the matter :(Good shot Ethna.
Ha! No, fish in the salmonidae family. I live near Byrne Creek, an urban salmonid stream. The stream/creek is quite long and some of it runs under roads. I suppose the point of the fish symbol is to tell people not to dump anything in the street drain, but I’m not sure about that. There are a lot of these fish symbols around where I live. Yes, that is indeed a cigarette butt, but not mine. Thanks for the favorite— I’m glad you like this. I like the yellow fish, although in general I’m not much of a fish person.

Looks like the salmon must jump into the sewer. :-) Well seen and a strong statement!
Thanks, Lamiel and thank you for the favorite.
Gosh, I never though salmon could live in storm drains! Well spotted! :)
Thanks, Marjolein. The creek runs above ground in some spots and under the road in others. It drains into the Fraser River (a famous river in BC. The creek drains near the mouth of the river). The storm drain connects to the last above-ground section of the creek. It rains a lot on the south coast of BC so it would seem the storm drains near the creek carry a lot of creek water.
i luv the graphic!! oh a fishy story!!
