tiles number digits blue white room macau
Yes! I saw tiles with blue, and thought ‘Macau’ – well ‘Portuguese’ just before that, actually. And I suddenly realized why: I have a shot, one of my ‘Walls of South India’ but not posted yet, with a street name made of four white-and-blue tiles: in Panjim (Panaji), Goa, India. It must have rattled around in the back of my mind! So, thanks once again for stirring my memory!
Thanks, Marjolein. Tiles are great, aren’t they? I have one from Macau that’s a bit of a change from the blue and white: it has lots of yellow. Thanks for the favorite too!
I actually saw the famous blue-and-white tiles first in Lissabon on a stopover (dinner, bed, and a few hours to walk around) between changing planes – then, late 2010 in Panjim. So I’m getting more and more curious about Macau!
And I have a ‘thing’ about house numbers and street name signs as well – so these are a real treat for me!
BTW, the style of this number reminds me of the elegantly painted house number on a door I once shot in Amsterdam – try number and you’ll spot it. ;)
I recognized the number at once!
