Shanghai, China: True Light Building, the Rock Bund.
Built in 1932, the China Baptist Publication Society Building or True Light Building was designed by Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec (1893-1958). The Society published Sunday school lessons, bible tracts, its journal “The True Light” and other Baptist literature.

    Very interesting brickwork here! Are the different colors of the brick intentional – or the result of restoration? To me, it looks like the latter – i that period architects here would use all sorts of (wild!) brick variations, posing problems when repairs are necessary and the same type and character of brick cannot be reproduced…
