I got talking to this very friendly man working for O’Shea’s Irish restaurant a few times during my walks around Temple Bar, Dublin. He stands there with his sign in all weathers. I took this photo of him with my film camera back in February and finally this week I was able to give him some prints of his photograph! I plan to give him the money if I sell prints in redbubble!

Black and white film (Fujifilm Neopan 400). Camera: Fujica ST605, Fujinon 55mm f2.2 lens. Developed by myself with a BIG help from Aware of the Void

WOW that’s me! I sign my drawings as ‘Mike Phil O’shea’. Great find.

  • Really?, that’s a bit of a coincidence! Thanks a lot for the comment Michele, sorry it took me so long to reply!

Oh my, Esther, this could be from another era! It’s such a ‘real’ photo, perfect. If it weren’t for a few little details, I could see this as the 20’s or 30’s. Beautifully done. :)

  • thanks a million Montserrat, sorry for the late reply, 18 days!

beautiful, Esther – such a friendly looking guy – he must have a great time, holding his sign and chatting to people. Lots of atmosphere – looks like it could be from the ’40s too.

  • thank you Geof, and sorry for late reply, don’t think he always enjoys it, he’s there in all weathers!
