Took this last January during the cold spell. The bridge in the picture is the famous Ha’Penny bridge. The Ha’penny Bridge, officially the Liffey Bridge, is a pedestrian bridge built in 1816 over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland. It’s made of cast-iron and was originally called the Wellington Bridge (after the Duke of Wellington). The name ’Ha’penny’ comes from the toll charge people had to pay to cross it for 100 years.
