wow, very beautiful color! i can’t understand abstract, but i love this one, Estelle
Estelle O'Brien replied
Thanks Hidemi. I have not had a lot of experience with absract, but I am finding that to do one now and then really frees me up and expands my mind. I do not paint abstract to a plan, but really just push the colour around until I begin to be pleased with it. I did this almost entirely with a palette knife.

Nice work Estelle !!
Estelle O'Brien replied
Thanks Greg, this one was a lot of fun to do…no left brain cognitive function really- just slapping on paint with gay abandon til the picture invented itself. In others words, painted by feel alone!

I like this Estelle. As soon as I saw it I thought you were having a free time of it. I do that sort of thing by doing an expressionist painting now and then as it does really free you up. I am most happy with a very large canvas (used to make them myself) like 2 metres long and get out in the backyard.

thanks Gloria…I really appreciate your thoughtful comments.
