Tiger Woods
Linocut – oil based ink on textured Japanese paper. I chose this special paper because it so suited the subject and the contrast of the black ink on the beige and silver paper really lent itself to different pressure in the hand burnishing to produce the shadow effects.
I really enjoyed doing this one-I learned a lot from my first one. My design was influenced by BillyLee’s great Girl in a Landscape series. I am a big admirer of Billy’s work and love her attention to detail and the way she gets that dreamy feeling into her prints.

Tiger Woods belongs to the following groups:

Wonderful Estelle! The texture on the tree trunks is fantastic. I imagine the linocut to be a gruelling task, but the end result must be thrilling because you only really discover the picture when you roll on the ink. Great work!
