Hello….

Thank you for visiting my bubble…

In December 2008 I moved from the drought-ridden Southern Tablelands of NSW to the mid north coast, where we have experienced three major floods in the last six months. My passion for the bush informs my creativity and my art.

Due to chronic illness a few years ago, my husband and I left the ratrace of our city business, and moved to the bush to grow our own organic veggies and live a simpler lifestyle. We are currently building a tin house on 110 acres on the side of a mountain in the forest hinterland near Nambucca Heads, NSW. We will have only solar power and a wood stove, and aim at as much self-sufficiency as possible. After years of collecting useless shiney stuff – we now shun the mass consumerism which feeds the ubiquitous multinational machine and try to make or grow most of our own stuff. Our favourite companions are our animals and horses.

After the isolation of our previous bush block, I am fortunate now to live near small towns which harbour vibrant arts communities and am a member of the Nambucca Valley Art Group. I live in Gumbaynggirr country and the indigenous artists in my area are an important inspiration to me. I was privileged to receive a hand painted wooden fish from the son of a local elder as a welcome present when we arrived here.

The light is gentler near the coast, the skies less harsh and the colours are easier on the eye. I love Australia in her many, many guises and all of her people. I am self taught artist, more or less, but learn something from everyone. Life is a great adventure of learning for me, the Lord G-d of Israel is my Rock, Counsellor and Comforter.

I work in various mediums, oil paint, pastels, acrylics and watercolour and love to draw. My skills are still developing and I learn from every painting.

My sister Yeddles
is also a redbubble artist so please check out her lovely work too.
