Real love?

How many times my darling,
have i told of the love in my heart.
And when i look in your eyes my love,
i can see youre trying to stiffle a f&$^.

Have you ever thought my sweetheart,
of days we spent in the bar.
Or sitting in the park drinking cider,
our dole money didnt go far.

It was the happiest day of my life,
when you said “will you marry me dave?”
I was sat on the loo for ten minutes,
and your legs you were trying to shave.

I recall our honeymoon in Bangor,
and our candle-lit dinner the first night.
You said my tummy feels queesy,
i said you just need a s%!*&.

Of all the girls iv had,
and some more than once or twice.
I can honestly say youre the best,
including my best friends wife.

When the kids came along you were brilliant,
making sandwiches for school.
Once i jokingly asked wheres mine,
you replied get lost you fool.

I remember the first time i saw you,
i was paying your mum the rent.
“Hello sexy” i said as you passed,
“get lost” you said “you look bent.”

Ah those were the days my lovely,
we were young and hadnt a care.
If id known then what i know now,
id have rented a room elsewhere.

Forty years later you still love me,
and i have to say i love you.
And the reason were still married,
is cause i moved to TIMBUCKTU!!!
