the Lamia by

My interpretation of feminine power and sacred knowledge. The Lamia has been interpreted through art for centuries, this is how I see her.

Quiet, desolate, contemplative. Her belly full of her own children.

The moon bleeds a star-shower of rubies onto her, they fall upon her winged crown and down her body, representing the link between menstrual blood and the moon.
