This was taken up the Trinity Mountains of Idaho, it was almost dark, and at this time we were scouting our hunting areas, the season was soon to be upon us. There had been fires up there a year before. its why the trees look this way, I found it interesting and started to take the trees against that sky. We drove along the trees stopping at different points for me to shoot. It was only about a mile of different spots, and there were some elk moving through. I love elk, they are one of my most favorite animals to shoot, and as you all well know silhouette’s are one of my most favorite things to do, I love going out early morning or evening for the lighting etc. The Trinity Mountains are my backyard. I lived up here for six years before having to back to truck driving. I loved going hunting and fishing, and looking for anything and everything to capture with the camera. It was awesome to go on hunting trips with my husband, and then listen to how the mountains came alive at sunrise. I wish everyone could experience those mornings.
