This is an illustration I did for Adele Sessler’s private role playing game, Not All Kings Wear Gold and it’s also featured in the NAKWG art book.

The RP takes place on a world populated by a race of winged Elves under the control of a rather tyranical omnipotent alien. The characters are, left to right, Julian, Kris and Sali. Julian and Kris are Sali’s guardians and while Julian is aloof and merely tolerates him, Kris shelters and protects him. Sali is more than a little naive and innocent and I don’t think he quite gets that the two men he loves and trusts as his guardians are generally feared by the rest of the population of their world.
