Pristine
The first in a new series of color oriented pieces involving mermaids. The series was inspired by a commission for a ‘pink mermaid’, which turned out very monochromatic. I thought it would be fun to expand on that idea so here we are.

Wow, the perfect contrast to Raven Waves. These two images are each beautiful and enchanting… and yet so very different. What i find very interesting is how the waves seem less settled in this image, and yet the scene is obviously lighter in tone and mood. I also think it is very unique how the mermaids have wings! Such a great idea. You are a very gifted :-)

Thank you for your beautiful comments. With this one I really envisioned one of those really windy days at sea when everything is just clean and salty. I think that sort of day just suits this mermaid; if I was a mermaid, that would totally be my favorite time to hang out on the surface and play with birds. :D
