Lady In Red

I’ve had a horrible day!!! I feel like screaming and crying :-( i cant get the focus right on my 400d and im so mad that i think i may have gotten a bit of a bad lens with the kit – something which apparently can happen quite a lot!!!!!

But to save the day is this little lady – I am so glad I found her she has cheered me up no end!!!

thanks :-) you use a 400d right? im having a massive stress out trying to get good focus on landscape shots…i just cant get it right..its a bit better in raw but then when converted just turns to mush again…any advice?

That is absolutely lovely. The SC is just perfect for this shot. Sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it with your camera, I’m sure you will get it sorted soon. In the meantime, keep shooting photos like this and you’ve got it cracked!! Fabulous.

i try not to focus on the distant horizon but what’s in the foreground normally at about a third of the way up the frame, i always try to use a tripod. I normally set my camera to apetaure priority, have the highest f number to give me the best dof and have the iso set to 100. That’s about it, have you tried manual focus? The shots your producing with the 400d are awesome, i hope i have been of help try not to stress to much its not healthy!

thanks for that i’ll take you’re tips on board! I tried manual focus yeah thats a bit better than auto just takes a while to get it right… * goes off to retry some landscape shots! *
