Reef Stonefish (Synanceia verrucosa), off Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This is my favourite shot of this species, as the shape of the fish is clearly recognisable while still showing how incredibly well camouflaged they are. The spines on the back contain a toxin that is among the strongest of all the fishes.
