Vivid Sunset - Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridgeby Erik Schlogl
Sydney Opera illuminated in colour as part of LUMINOUS, “a festival of music, ideas, light and performance,” curated by Brian Eno and part of Vivid Sydney 2009, a new winter festival in the capital city of New South Wales.
Many people photographed the Opera House when it was lit up like this, but here’s a capture I couldn’t resist uploading.
Equipment : Nikon D300, tripod, Nikon 18-200mm lens Technique: 5 bracketed RAW images (2EV steps from -4EV to +4EV), processed in Photomatix and tidied up slightly in Lightroom.

Great HDR shot!. Love the colours. Unfortuately I was unable to make it to Sydney to see the Vivid Festival.
Thanks – supposedly they’re planning to make this an annual event, though this year’s festival will be a hard act to follow.

Thanks – believe it or not, this is pretty much how it looked to the naked eye. HDR was just needed to digitally capture the image!
