The Grand Staircase, Queen Victoria Building, Sydney

Erik Schlogl

Randwick, Australia

Artist's Description

Here’s another take on what has to be a “must-have” photo in every Sydneyside HDR photographer’s portfolio. The Grand Staircase is located in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney, which was completed in 1898. Built with government funds during a severe recession, the execution of its elaborate decor and architecture gave work to many unemployed craftsmen – with a worthwhile result!
